Add your first Home Screen widget

  1. Open WidgetFlair, choose a design in Explore, customize it, and tap Save.
  2. Touch and hold your Home Screen. Tap Edit → Add Widget (or the + button), then search for WidgetFlair.
  3. Choose a size and add the widget.
  4. Touch and hold the added widget, tap Edit Widget, and select your saved design.

iOS requires you to add widgets through its widget gallery. Saving a design inside the app does not place it on your Home Screen automatically. If a saved design has been deleted, choose another design in Edit Widget.

Add a Lock Screen widget

On a compatible iPhone, touch and hold your Lock Screen, tap Customize, and select the widget area. Add WidgetFlair and choose a compatible saved design. Compatible designs support Lock Screen formats; the app’s setup guide lists the supported designs, and available sizes depend on the design and device.

Use interactive designs

Compatible Home Screen widgets can log water, complete a checklist item, mark a habit, start or reset a focus timer, record a mood, update reading progress, or pick from your own choices. These actions update the matching saved design. Write gratitude notes and set an exact reading page inside the app’s editor.

Widgets with gardens, flowers, aquariums, and illustrated landscapes are creative ways to show your saved activity. They do not provide live weather, music playback, medical advice, or automatic health tracking.

Keep your favorites and share a design

In My widgets, open a saved design’s menu to mark it as a favorite, share a picture, edit it, or delete it. The heart button filters your library to favorites. Sharing a picture does not transfer an editable widget or its activity records.

My clock is not updating every second

iOS controls when widgets refresh. WidgetFlair clocks are designed for minute-level updates, rather than continuous second-by-second animation. Open the app to check your saved design and selected time zone.

Use WidgetFlair without internet

Browsing, editing, saving, and displaying widgets work offline. Purchasing or restoring Premium needs an internet connection. Choose a photo that is already available on your device; a photo stored only in iCloud may need to download first.

Restore or manage Premium

Open My widgets → Settings, tap the Premium card, and choose Restore purchases while connected to the internet. Use the Apple Account associated with your purchase. The Premium page also offers Manage subscription to open Apple’s subscription settings.

If Premium ends, saved designs remain editable and continue working. Creating a new Premium design requires an active subscription.

Where are my saved designs?

Your designs, notes, chosen photos, water logs, habits, moods, reading progress, and gratitude notes are stored locally for the app and widgets. There is no WidgetFlair cloud account or cross-device sync. Removing the app can remove the local library; iOS backups follow your device’s settings. Deleting a widget from the Home Screen does not delete its saved design from the app.

Which languages can I use?

Open My widgets → Settings → App language to choose English, German, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, or Norwegian Bokmål. Choose Follow system to use your device’s language preference. The selection applies to the app and its widgets.
