WidgetFlair Privacy Policy

WidgetFlair is an iOS app for creating and customizing widgets, including clocks, dates, notes and personal progress displays. In this Privacy Policy, “we,” “us” and “our” refer to the operator of WidgetFlair. This Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app and its widgets or contact us. We will provide notice before material changes to information handling where required by law.

1) Privacy highlights

2) Information WidgetFlair handles

A) Information stored on your device

The app stores the content you choose to add, such as photo copies, names, notes, checklist items, dates, goals and progress. Personal tracking widgets may also store water counts, habit check-ins, focus sessions, mood selections, reading progress and gratitude entries. It stores widget settings, timestamps, favorite status and preferences such as language, appearance, haptics and onboarding status.

The app and its widget extension share this information locally on your device so that saved widgets can display and update it. WidgetFlair does not provide its own cloud sync or online widget library. iOS backups may include app data according to your settings.

B) Photos, permissions and sharing

The system photo picker gives the app access to the photos you select without requiring full access to your photo library. Photos stored only in iCloud may need to be downloaded by Apple’s services before they can be used offline. The app does not request device location access or read your Health or Calendar records.

Content you place in a widget may be visible to others who can see your Home Screen or Lock Screen, depending on your settings. Sharing a design through the system share sheet exports an image that may include your photos, text or progress. Exported copies and sharing destinations are subject to your choices and the destination’s privacy practices.

C) Technical information

The app does not send widget content or usage analytics to us. Apple may process purchase, device or diagnostic information under its own policies and your settings. When you open an external link, your browser sends standard network information to that website, whose privacy practices apply.

D) Purchases and support

The app uses Apple’s StoreKit to read subscription information, including product identifiers, transaction status and expiration information, on your device. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

If you contact us, we receive your email address, message, attachments and other information you choose to provide. Please include only information needed for your request.

3) How we use information

On-device information is used to create, edit, organize, display and share widgets, update your personal records, remember preferences and enable subscription features.

Information you send us is used to respond to your request, resolve issues, keep necessary records and meet legal obligations. Where applicable, we rely on performing our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in providing support and resolving disputes, or compliance with law. We obtain consent where required and do not use support messages for advertising.

Contacting us is optional. Without the information needed to understand your request, we may be unable to resolve it.

4) When information is shared

5) Retention and deletion

Saved widgets are retained locally, subject to the app’s storage and activity-history limits, until you delete them or their data is removed. Deleting a widget removes its associated entries and imported photo copy from the app’s library. You can edit saved content and delete widgets in the app. Offloading the app may retain its data. Deleting a widget does not delete the original photo, shared or exported copies, or separate backups; manage those through the relevant system or service.

We keep support correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to handle the request, follow up, resolve disputes or meet legal requirements. Apple retains purchase records under its own policies and legal obligations.

We cannot access your local widget library remotely; you manage it directly in the app. Subscription expiration does not delete your saved widgets or entries.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion or portability of information we hold, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to your local privacy authority. Contact us using the address below. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. For Apple’s records, contact Apple.

6) International processing and security

Widget content is processed locally. Email providers, Apple and services you choose may process information in other countries. Where we control an international transfer of personal information, we apply safeguards required by applicable law.

We take reasonable measures to protect information we hold. The security of on-device content also depends on your device and settings; no storage or transmission method is completely secure.

7) Children’s privacy

WidgetFlair is a general-audience app. Content entered by children is processed and stored on the device and is not uploaded to us. Parents or guardians should contact us on a child’s behalf and avoid sending unnecessary personal information about a child.
