Framila Privacy Policy
Framila is an iOS app for framing photos and adding stories, dates and handwriting to personal artwork. In this Privacy Policy, “we,” “us” and “our” refer to the operator of Framila. This Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app or contact us. We will provide notice before material changes to information handling where required by law.
1) Privacy highlights
- No account required. You do not need to provide a name, phone number or email address to use the app.
- Local processing and storage. Photos, stories and handwriting are processed on your device. The app does not upload your artwork to us or use remote image-processing services.
- No advertising or tracking. The app has no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
- Saving and sharing are your choice. Content leaves the app when you choose a system export or sharing action, or through your device’s backup settings.
- Apple handles purchases. Apple processes payments and subscription verification. These services may require an internet connection.
2) Information Framila handles
A) Information stored on your device
The app stores imported photo copies, artwork settings, titles, names, date labels, stories, places, handwriting, timestamps and favorite status in its local library. It also stores preferences such as language, appearance and onboarding status.
Framila does not provide its own cloud sync or online artwork library. iOS backups may include app data according to your settings.
B) Photos, permissions and sharing
The system photo picker gives the app access to the photos you select. Saving an export to Photos requires permission to add images. You can change permissions in iOS Settings and use system sharing instead of saving to Photos.
Place names are entered by you; the app does not request device location access. Photos stored only in iCloud must be downloaded before they can be used offline. Exported files and sharing destinations are subject to your choices and the destination’s privacy practices.
C) Technical information
The app does not send artwork or usage analytics to us. Apple may process purchase, device or diagnostic information under its own policies and your settings. When you open an external link, your browser sends standard network information to that website, whose privacy practices apply.
D) Purchases and support
The app uses Apple’s StoreKit to read subscription information, including product identifiers, transaction status and expiration information, on your device. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
If you contact us, we receive your email address, message, attachments and other information you choose to provide. Please include only information needed for your request.
3) How we use information
On-device information is used to create, edit, organize and export artwork, remember preferences and enable subscription features.
Information you send us is used to respond to your request, resolve issues, keep necessary records and meet legal obligations. Where applicable, we rely on performing our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in providing support and resolving disputes, or compliance with law. We obtain consent where required and do not use support messages for advertising.
4) When information is shared
- Your artwork: the app does not send it to us. You control exports and sharing; Apple backups depend on your settings.
- Apple: purchases, system backups and Photos services are handled under Apple’s privacy policy.
- Support providers: our email provider processes support messages to deliver and store correspondence.
- Legal disclosures: information held by us may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect legal rights and safety.
5) Retention and deletion
Local artwork is kept until you delete it in the app, delete the app or its data, or the device removes the data. Offloading the app may retain its data. Deleting an artwork does not delete the original photo, exported copies or separate backups; manage those through the relevant system or service.
We keep support correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to handle the request, follow up, resolve disputes or meet legal requirements. Apple retains purchase records under its own policies and legal obligations.
We cannot access your local artwork remotely; you manage it directly in the app.
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion or portability of information we hold, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to your local privacy authority. Contact us using the address below. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. For Apple’s records, contact Apple.
6) International processing and security
Artwork is processed locally. Email providers, Apple and services you choose may process information in other countries. Where we control an international transfer of personal information, we apply safeguards required by applicable law.
We take reasonable measures to protect information we hold. The security of on-device content also depends on your device and settings; no storage or transmission method is completely secure.
7) Children’s privacy
Framila is a general-audience app. When children use the app, their photos, stories and handwriting are processed and stored on the device and are not uploaded to us.
