Pickkin Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Pickkin iOS application and its related AI decision-help services (collectively, the “Service”). “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the Service.
By downloading or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled and is incorporated into these Terms.
1) Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Pickkin and comply with applicable law. You must be legally able to agree to these Terms or, if you have not reached the age of legal majority where you live, have a parent or guardian agree on your behalf and approve any purchase.
2) The Service
Pickkin helps you work through everyday dilemmas using short AI-generated questions and suggestions. You can react to a suggestion, clarify what matters, and save your choice.
- No Pickkin account is required.
- AI requests require an internet connection and remote AI services.
- AI results may be inaccurate or unsuitable for your circumstances. You make the final decision.
3) Free access and Pickkin Premium
Free access includes 3 new AI-assisted decisions per week. An active Pickkin Premium subscription includes 100 new AI-assisted decisions per month, whether billed monthly or yearly. Other decision features are the same for free and Premium users.
A new decision counts only after its first valid AI result. Failed or cancelled requests do not count. Further interactions within that decision do not use another decision allowance. Service limits still apply.
We may adjust limits or included features for future billing periods where permitted by law. Material changes will be communicated when required.
4) Subscriptions and payments
Monthly and yearly subscriptions are offered as auto-renewing in-app purchases through Apple.
- Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm a purchase.
- The purchase screen displays the localized price and billing period before confirmation.
- A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current billing period ends. Apple may charge for renewal within 24 hours before the end of that period.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period.
- Apple handles billing and refunds, subject to Apple’s policies and applicable law.
Removing the app or ending access to the Service does not cancel a subscription.
5) Your content and AI results
“Your Content” means dilemmas, reactions, choices, and other material you submit to the Service. You retain any rights you have in Your Content. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to transmit and process Your Content as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and legally operate the Service.
You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit Your Content. Do not submit confidential information, another person’s personal information without permission, or material you are not authorized to use.
We do not claim ownership of AI results generated in response to your requests. AI results may not be unique.
Any use or sharing of AI results must comply with applicable law and third-party rights.
6) Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to:
- violate any law or another person’s intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- exploit or sexualize minors;
- create unlawful threats, harassment, hateful abuse, or instructions intended to facilitate serious harm;
- impersonate another person or use AI results deceptively or fraudulently;
- introduce malware, interfere with the Service, or gain unauthorized access;
- bypass subscriptions, usage limits, rate limits, or other access controls;
- make automated or excessive requests that burden the Service; or
- resell, scrape, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit the Service itself except where applicable law expressly permits it.
We may block a request or suspend access when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, comply with law, or protect users, third parties, and the Service.
7) Intellectual property
The Pickkin app, software, design, branding, and non-user materials are owned by the operator of Pickkin or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. These Terms allow you to use the Service for your personal use.
8) Local storage and third-party services
Your decision history is stored on your device and is not currently synced or backed up by Pickkin. Deleting records, removing the app or its data, or losing access to your device may permanently remove this history.
The Service relies on third-party services for functions such as cloud infrastructure, AI results, logging, and payment processing. Third-party services may be governed by their own applicable terms and privacy policies. We remain responsible for our own obligations under applicable law.
9) Service availability and changes
The Service may be temporarily unavailable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
We may update the Service or temporarily suspend it for maintenance, security, or legal requirements. If a paid service is discontinued, we will provide any notice or remedy required by law and Apple’s applicable procedures.
10) Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary because of a material or repeated breach of these Terms, unlawful use, a security risk, or discontinuation of the Service.
11) Service expectations and consumer rights
Pickkin provides help with everyday decisions. AI results may be inaccurate and should not be relied on as professional advice.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any consumer right, remedy, warranty, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
12) Apple App Store terms
If you obtained Pickkin through the App Store, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs your license to the app unless Apple presents a different applicable license. These Terms govern the related Service to the extent consistent with that license and mandatory law.
13) Governing law and miscellaneous terms
These Terms are subject to applicable law.
If any provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
14) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Service or law. We will post the revised Terms and provide additional notice when required. Changes apply prospectively. If you do not agree to updated Terms, stop using the Service and cancel any future subscription renewal.
